Recently, the cell phone carriers have implemented more stringent text filtering and we are occasionally seeing blocked texts that contain our long form URL utilized for identifying each operators’ distinct brand after a wash pass purchase. There are two steps required to mitigate this from happening.
Step 1 - we are implementing best practices for including URLs in text messages that will match your brand to the text. To do this, you need to have your own website (we can set it up for you) with your own domain. For example, www.SampleCarWash.com would be your domain. Going forward, this will be a requirement for all new customers. We can get you set up quickly with a single page domain to satisfy this need, or a full featured website. If you already have your own website, please add a page with your details similar to https://unitedautowash.com/summary/ You can update your SMS settings in the Customer Management Portal, or provide your new link to our support team via web ticket, and we will update it for you.
Step 2 - the next step will be to establish your own new 10 digit texting number on the Dencar platform. The integration with our sister company, Carwash Communicator, is nearly complete. We are just going through final testing and then every operator will be able to have their own phone number(s) in the coming weeks. As part of the onboarding process, we will register your brand to your phone number. The benefit of using this platform is you will now be able to have 2-way communication with your customers and the very first text they receive when they purchase a monthly membership will come from your unique business phone number. The message will no longer come from Dencar’s phone number. You will also have the option to begin mass texting and emailing to your customers. A Carwash Communicator account will be a requirement for all new customers in order for us to deliver best practices based texting. We want to work with any existing operators to get you onboarded to Carwash Communicator as soon as possible.
Pricing - As with all Dencar services, we have been extremely price conscious. Our website hosting service is only $29 per month. To get you set up with a one-page website, there is just a $99 setup fee. Alternatively, we can provide a standard template website like https://unitedautowash.com/ branded to your site for $999. We are offering a 20% discount to any existing customers that need this completed. For the Carwash Communicator platform, you just need the standard module which is $10 per month plus $2 per phone number.
